Notes on the November 26, 2009 meeting of Presbytery.

Prince Edward Island Presbytery met on the evening of November 26, 2009, at Bedeque United Church.
Some highlights follow:

1.    Rev. Gloria Churchill welcomed Presbytery to Bedeque United.  She led a worship service of song, images, word, and prayer that celebrated children.

2.   
Bill Dean, the District Director of the Canadian Bible Society, gave a presentation.

3.   
The former Murray River United church building has been sold.

4.    Rev. Dr. Andrew Richardson spoke on year round congregational stewardship.  Items he mentioned included: mission clarity, a narrative budget, annual giving program, multiple opportunities for giving, and donor appreciation.  “Where there is spiritual growth there is generosity.”

5.   
Presbytery will need a new treasurer as of the rise of Conference (May 30, 2010).

6.   
The 2010 budget, of $118,785, was presented and accepted.

7.   
The next Presbytery meeting will be held in Park Royal United Church, Charlottetown, on February 25, 2010.
